    Power lead don't look long enough if you installing them around the outside the house, I suppose you could chop and wire longer 2 - core cable to a power junction box if you need to install more than one around the outside.

    The lip you left on the ply cannot be 50mm. That would have been half the width of your 100mm ply. More like 10-20mm max I would have said.

    At 6:49 when you mount the Z-axis to the gantry I experience a problem. The plate on the gantry is without movement. But when I mount the Z-axis on that plate, the whole thing becomes wobbly. You can move the Z axis from right to left regarding the gantry. Tightening the mounting of the Z axis on the gantry plate does not provide any improvement. If the Z axis can move in the horizontal plane then the result of the work you do with it will be of low quality. Is there anyone who has experienced the same problem and can tell us how he solved it? Thanks in advance.

    Had my first kickback incident today. Was trying to make some featherboards and stop blocks. Heard a loud pop and the wood went flying then immediate pain in my hand. Happened so fast I don't even know what happened but my guess is somehow the wood piece smashed my finger against the miter saw base. Icing my finger which is inflated and I have black blood under my nail and a small chunk of skin next to my nail was ripped off. I'm just happy my hand didn't come in contact with the blade.

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY 2 дня назад

      Always use some push sticks or hold downs where possible to keep hands away from the blade. It can happen to anyone. Before each new cut I try it without turning on the blade to make sure nothing is in the way, check positions of my hands and if the material is secured.

    Hi Tomasz, I enjoyed watching this which is a change from woodworking (even though I do enjoy woodworking). By the way on your video a few months ago regarding trying to improve the dust extraction on your table saw I made a comment you needed a high volume low pressure extraction system I also noticed you have a zero clearance fitted to your saw this will also contribute to the reduced performance of the extraction, I would also consider adding some openings in the zero clearance to allow air to be pulled through into the table saw, refer to the video posted by “Hooked on Wood”. Have you made any plans on a video on using your new extraction system yet?

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY 2 дня назад

      I did try it with the original evo plate that does have a large opening. And the results were the same. Seen his solution with the holes however the dust generation is where the blade goes so the extra holes well I doubt that will do anything. Yes I will have some videos on the chip extractor, the whole system. But that's later on the year when I get my workshop sorted a bit. Now it's one big mess. I'll have less videos over the summer to allow me some more time to get organised 👍

    Yes, as beaufighter245 said, very nicely and efficiently done! What about using this jig for making picture frames with 45 degree corners? I would think it might not center well due to the small length of the joined surface. However, with that said, for those of us who only want to do this once in a while the expensive jigs seem an excessive expense. So, again, thanks.

    • @CasualDIY

      It's possible to do 45 degrees but it would require some preparation. Wouldn't be a straightforward process.
